My eldest has gained a love of cooking. Couldn’t tell you exactly when it started, but he most definitely has the bug and the knack. This past weekend, he (with some tutelage) crafted some rather tasty bacon/ham and cheese crêpes. Tonight’s fare was a venture outside to work the barbecue, grilling up some sausages.

I’m liking it because it gives him something to do. He likes it because he gets to be creative and try something new. His siblings get involved more now as well and help out with other tasks like setting the table, clearing, etc.

I know, I know, news flash, but hey, it’s working, so why mess with it?

But soft, what sound from yonder ‘larm clock makes?
It is the 5am lobby call and our tour is soon done.
Arise, fair musician and kill the bloody alarm clock
Who irritates far beyond belief,
That the sleep-dep art far more pervasive;
Be not alert, since it is far too early;
Mine eyes are puffy and red;
And none but fools went to bed past 10pm; suck it up.
