Today is the start of a “tactical pause” at work. Understandably there are a lot of thoughts, opinions, and misconceptions about what this time is and isn’t.
I won’t expand here on what the root causes of the pause are, but rather talk about the communication aspect of things. Boss and I have a ton of work to do to talk people through what we are about to accomplish over the next 60-90 days, how it matters to our organization and our work, how it will benefit us long-term, and how it will ultimately make our work lives better.
Change is hard and change can be scary, but the status quo is untenable, therefore we must adapt. Here we go.
